Sr. Supply Chain Manger

The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will be a valued contributor at our Maxtec facility located in West Valley City, UT to Perma Pure Group's Operations Leadership Team and is expected to be the most senior supply chain person within the company. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain processes of all sites within the company. This person will be the owner of the company SIOP process and accountable for OTD and inventory turns as primary metrics. In addition, this person is responsible for strategic sourcing to drive significant cost reductions. Subject matter expert of relevant portions of the ERP. All other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions:

Supply Chain Strategy:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Manages the company SIOP process to achieve company OTD and inventory turn targets.
• Evaluate supply chain performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity.
• Represents the supply chain function on new projects and ensure smooth launches or transitions.

Inventory Management:

• Oversee inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained to meet demand while minimizing excess.
• Develop inventory forecasting models and collaborate with the commercial, finance, and operations to align inventory needs with sales projections.
• Implement inventory control systems to reduce stockouts and overstocks.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and terms.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on performance, cost, and quality criteria.
• Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality, and delivery delays.
• Systematically identifies and drives cost reductions.

Logistics and Distribution:

• Manage company transportation and logistics operations (domestic and international), ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, manage, and mentor supply chain team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Provide training and development opportunities to improve team performance and capabilities.
• Monitor team performance and ensure adherence to established KPIs.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze supply chain data and KPIs to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on supply chain performance, costs, and operational efficiency.
• Use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and process improvements.

Compliance & Sustainability:

• Ensure supply chain operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manages
• Promote sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, such as reducing waste, energy use, and carbon footprint.

Management:

• Actively manages all supply chain related personnel in the company through direct and indirect reporting relationships.
• Manages the company SIOP process.
• Demand and capacity planning.
• Ensure material availability for planned production orders are met using MRP tools.
• Works closely other disciplines to ensure that manufacturing bill of materials, demand, and schedule are appropriately loaded in the MRP system to facilitate the organization’s success.
• Provides the leadership skills to influence, empower, and advise the staff to build high performance teams and ensure positive collaboration with other functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in supply chain strategy development, operations, and optimization with demonstrated results

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ERP/supply chain software and tools – experience with Plex a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Expertise with logistics, inventory management, and procurement processes.
