About You:

• Proven experience in gypcrete or similar concrete/masonry installation
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a construction environment
• Strong understanding of gypcrete mixing and application techniques
• Familiarity with acoustimat installation is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and team management abilities
• Bilingual (English / Spanish)
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in construction
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions and on construction sites
• Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods

Primary Objective:

The Gypcrete Crew Leader is responsible for leading a team of skilled workers to successfully complete gypcrete installation projects in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. This role requires a strong understanding of gypcrete applications, leadership skills, and the ability to manage on-site operations, including coordinating with contractors, ensuring material handling, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with gypcrete and acoustimat installation, as well as leadership or supervisory experience in construction.

• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and supervise a team of gypcrete installers to complete assigned projects.
• Project Planning: Review job specifications, blueprints, and site conditions to plan the installation process, ensuring proper materials, tools, and equipment are available.
• Installation Oversight: Ensure the proper preparation of surfaces, mixing of gypcrete, and application according to manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards by conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and OSHA regulations are followed on-site, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordination:  Communicate effectively with general contractors, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any conflicts or delays.
• Training & Development:  Train crew members on best practices, safety protocols, and proper installation techniques to maintain high performance and quality.
• Time Management:  Monitor crew productivity and adjust work assignments to meet project deadlines.
• Record Keeping:  Maintain accurate documentation of work progress, material usage, and labor hours.
• Problem Solving:  Identify and address any issues that arise during installation, such as equipment malfunctions or material shortages.
