The Lakes at Litchfield is now accepting applications for Float Pool FLEX PRN LPNs. This position provides hands on resident care. The FLEX role commutes to Brightwater (Myrtle Beach) or Lakes at Litchfield (Pawley's Island) campuses on an "as needed" basis. The "HOME" community is Lakes at Litchfield, but in this role, you will work at either campus as needed and assigned. You must work in any level of care as needed and assigned. Must be "on call" at least 2 weekend days per month (a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) and work at least 16 hours per month. Due to travel required, this role receives the following : Fuel Surcharge : $20.00 PER shift worked FLEX Bonus : $50.00 PER shift worked.
POSITION SUMMARY : Provides hands on resident care, proper and timely administration of medications and treatments, accurate verbal and written reports and rapid response to any / all emergency situations. Level I - Basic competencies and knowledge of nursing : Resident Examination and Assessment (Head to Toe Assessment and Admission Note and Daily Med A Note, Foley Catheter Insertion : Male or Female Resident, Winyah Medication Administration Audit tool, Oxygen Administration, Dressings, Dry / Clean - Wound, Feeding Tube, and Feeding Tube Care.
As a participant in the FLEX PRN LPN / RN Program, in addition to the responsibilities outlined in the LPN / RN job description, this role commutes to two sister community campuses on an "as needed" basis. The "HOME" community is assigned and communicated. Additionally, to maintain active employment status with the Company, FLEX PRN LPN / RNs must work as needed and assigned in any level of care including but not limited to Skilled Nursing, Memory Care or Assisted Living. Must be "on call" at least 2 weekend days per month (a Friday, Saturday or Sunday). Must work at least sixteen (16) hours per month.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Performs professional and restorative nursing services which include, but not limited to, resident assessments, recording of vital signs, administering medications and treatments.
- Keeps timely documentation of written reports and verbal reports ensuring that quality care is provided.
- Interacts with the resident's physician, pharmacist and medical personnel as needed.
- Following the guidelines as outlined in the Resident Care Plan; assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
- Assists with in-service and on the job training and mentoring of Team Members.
- Participates in and attends all required in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
