Operations Associate – E-Commerce, (Customer Experience)

About the Company

We are seeking a NEW member for our E-Commerce Sales Team, focused on Customer Experience!

We are a fast-growing company engaged in design, importing, and distribution, serving both national and international markets. Our portfolio includes our distinct brands specializing in children's, youth, and adult furniture. Our products are distributed to major furniture chains, as well as independent retailers, and are available through various e-commerce platforms.

Our corporate headquarters are currently situated in Mt Pleasant, SC, but will shortly relocated to a larger, modern office space on Daniel Island, SC. You can learn more at www.maxwoodfurniture.com.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Sales Associate to interact with our customers, answer their product inquiries, suggest solutions, assist with measurements and design questions, and ensure they have a positive experience with our products and services. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to handle various customer-related tasks efficiently. Our customer experience team may be small but it consists of a dynamic and highly skilled group of people, helping our customers and improving processes continually.

Key Responsibilities:

· Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via Zendesk (phone, email, or chat).

· Give customers fast and efficient assistance when contacting us after having received their product.

· Utilize state of the art systems like Salespad, Zendesk and Microsoft Office suite to convey information and assist customers in resolving their issue.

· Coordinate with overseas team members to effectively distribute workload and get the best outcome for our customers.

· Utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer interactions.

· Manage order processing and fulfillment, covering standard e-commerce orders and parts replacements as needed.

· Troubleshoot and assist with the logistics of direct-to-customer shipments.

· Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and follow-through in all tasks.

· Participate in furniture assembly as part of ongoing training.

· Ensure the timely completion of work assignments and priorities.

SKILLS

Must Haves

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Feel confident in customer interactions through phone, chat, and email.

· Must work well in a team environment.

· Microsoft Office Suite on PC, (Excel Primarily)

· Excellent verbal and written etiquette for communication with customers related to product, logistics, and customer account status is a must.

· Previous experience with online sales, ground, white glove, and freight shipping and order fulfillment within the furniture industry is preferred.

Preferred

· Experience with online chat system, or in direct phone sales

· Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify Plus and Channel Advisor

· Comfortable with PowerPoint
