Since launching over two decades ago, we have established multiple sales channels including our DTC websites and third-party marketplaces. We are seeking a Trucking Operations Manager to add to our Warehouse team. Our 500,000 square foot newly renovated warehouse is located in Marion South Carolina. This position will be responsible for the timely pick-up and delivery of 150-200 containers a month from the Port of Charleston, to our facility. The Trucking Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Maxwood Furniture’s trucking division. This includes managing the team, optimizing delivery routes, ensuring fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role also involves coordinating with other departments to meet expectations while maintaining cost efficiency.
The Trucking Operations Manager will lead and supervise a team of drivers and support staff, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards. This includes training, evaluating, and providing ongoing development. The manager will oversee the scheduling of deliveries, route optimization, and maintenance of the fleet.
Additionally, the role requires ensuring the trucking division adheres to safety regulations and legal compliance, including federal and state laws. The manager will also handle service-related delivery issues and ensure timely, accurate deliveries. They will manage the trucking division's budget, including monitoring fuel and maintenance costs, while identifying opportunities for operational improvements as well as looking for opportunities to expand the trucking business.
The manager will also be responsible for preparing regular performance and cost reports, as well as maintaining accurate records for all transportation activities. Strong communication and collaboration with other departments such as Shipping & Receiving are essential for this role to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements
- The Ideal candidate will have 5 years plus of experience managing trucking operations.
- 5 Plus years’ experience in Trucking or Logistics
- 5 years' experience in a leadership role
- Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Deep knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards
