What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Gym Opener position at Maxx Fitness Clubs?
Job Summary
The Morning Opener will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Opening the club on time daily.
- Arriving at 4:45a.m. to walk through the club and Open at 5:00a.m. and work until 11:00am
- Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service by saying hello and goodbye to each member.
- Handle all front desk related activities including:
- Answer phones in an upbeat friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
- Check in all members into the system.
- New member sign-up.
- Take prospective members on tours.
- Count money in register
- Learn and understand our computer operating system
- Facilitate needed updates to member's accounts.
- Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or General Manager as needed.
- Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Customer service background preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- A passion for fitness and health.
- Upbeat and positive attitude!
- Punctuality and reliability is a must.
- Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.
- Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
- High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Functions:
- Must have reliable transportation to be at Facility Monday-Friday
- Ability to work in a group or team setting;
- Face To Face Retail Customer Service experience preferred;
- The ability to stand/work on your feet
- The ability to be energetic and outgoing at all times;
- The ability to handle weights of up to 50lbs
