Job Overview

We are looking for a committed, skilled, and proactive Operations Supervisor to manage our field operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of production within the lawn care industry. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high safety standards, and optimizing team productivity. Most importantly, the manager is a “People Grower” at May's Lawn Care. They are responsible for training current and future landscape leaders, being onsite to assist in any tasks team members are unsatisfied with, and ensuring all teams have the tools and materials to succeed.

Responsibilities

• On-site, hands-on work activity and coordination of daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, and personnel.
• Supervise daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage crews for efficient productivity.
• Emphasizing safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear and procedures.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to foster a productive work environment.
• Implement best practices in the field to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safety culture among team members.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
• Communicating and coordinating with upper management, reporting project status regularly.

Experience

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a landscaping and lawn maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of production-related business operations.
• Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment is preferred.
• Experience in materials handling and heavy lifting protocols is essential.
• Proven track record of leading and developing people.
• Candidate must be proficient in the use of computers and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, supervisory skills, and mechanical aptitude are a must.
• Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Must be able to make decisions in line with our mission and core values.
