Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Own and execute the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and onboarding.
- Partner with department managers to assess staffing needs and proactively fill open roles.
- Manage new hire data entry in HRIS and ensure all onboarding documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Oversee ATS and HRIS system updates, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Maintain and organize personnel records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor and update employment compliance posters across all properties.
- Track and report key HR metrics, supporting audits and compliance reviews.
- Stay current with federal and state labor laws, ensuring adherence across all locations.
- Support payroll processing deadlines through accurate and timely updates of employee data.
Employee Relations & Training:
- Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and workplace concerns.
- Facilitate conflict resolution, performance discussions, and investigations when necessary.
- Travel regularly to our hotel properties to support HR needs, conduct training sessions, and build relationships with team members.
- Assist in developing and delivering employee training and development programs.
Benefits, Safety, & Community Engagement:
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with related questions.
- Manage and track workers’ compensation and guest liability claims.
- Assist with planning and executing company events and community engagement initiatives.
- Represent the company in labor-related matters, including grievances, mediations, and negotiations, as needed.
Education, Skills and Abilities:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Experience: 2 years in a Human Resources role, preferably in hospitality or multi-unit operations.
- System Knowledge: Familiarity with HRIS systems, ADP preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Tech-Savvy: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented & Organized: Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate records.
- Self-Motivated & Driven: Proactive, self-motivated, and problem-solving abilities.
- Confidentiality: Experience handling confidential information.
- Language: Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to type on a keyboard with repetitive movements of the fingers, wrists, and potentially the neck.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally (e.g., reports, supplies).
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling office equipment.
- Comfortable working in both office and hospitality environments.
