We are seeking an experienced Thermal Engineer to help us develop next generation cooling infrastructure for quantum computers. Successful candidates will have a strong background in cryogenics and thermal engineering, with demonstrated ability to transfer commercial or academic research to fast-paced innovation, prototyping, and deployment.
Primary Responsibilities
- High-Level System Design : Drive the initial high-level design of large-scale cryogenic systems, focusing on thermal management from room temperature to sub-Kelvin temperatures.
- Research and Analysis : Conduct in-depth research on potential solutions to specific cryogenic challenges, utilizing scientific literature and emerging technologies to inform design strategies.
- Modeling and Simulation : Perform comprehensive analysis and modeling to evaluate and determine the best solutions, employing computational tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, Python) for thermal and fluid dynamics simulations.
- Solution Implementation : Design and plan the implementation of selected solutions, creating detailed specifications for development and deployment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (cryogenic, mechanical, electrical, software) to ensure seamless integration of designs into fully functional products.

Compensation Base Salary $120,000 / yr - $180,000 / yr depending on experience and qualifications with additional compensation in equity and bonus.
