Responsibilities
- Design and development of Maybell products from the ground up
- Ideate system and sub-system concepts and perform trade-off analysis to determine the best solutions.
- Translate customer needs into product and technical requirements and use them to drive design decisions.
- Create complex mechanical designs, drawings and documentation for parts and assemblies following DFX principles to develop the most efficient and high-quality products.
- Work closely with manufacturing and operations to ensure a smooth transition from concept to a fully scalable high-quality products
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an engineering field
- Exceptional CAD and product documentation skills
- Experience with designing machined components, sheet metal and weldments with an emphasis on DFM
- Self-starter with ability to drive results independently
- Demonstrated ability to bring complex products from concept to production
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt and perform in a fast paced and dynamic organization.
- Availability for a 6-12 month co-op. Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Ansys or equivalent analysis software
- Working knowledge of the ASME Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing standard
- Strong hands-on experience building prototypes, test apparatus, and fixtures.
- Machine shop and fabrication skills
