Summary of Position

Elevate the art of mixology and lead the charge in crafting unforgettable experiences as the Bar Lead at The Whiskey Bar. This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your creativity, leadership, and passion for delivering exceptional bar services in a sophisticated and upscale environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring impeccable service and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
2. Collaborate with the beverage team to develop innovative and enticing drink menus that align with the Maybourne’s luxury brand.
3. Provide warm and engaging service to guests, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere in the bar.
4. Anticipate guest preferences and tailor recommendations to enhance their overall experience.
5. Ensure that guest inquiries, requests, and concerns are addressed promptly and with the highest level of professionalism.
6. Effectively manage and resolve guest concerns or issues, ensuring swift and satisfactory solutions.
7. Utilize feedback to continuously improve and enhance the guest experience.
8. Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of bartenders and bar colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional development.
9. Conduct regular training sessions to ensure colleagues are well-versed in mixology techniques and product knowledge.
10. Stay abreast of industry trends, continuously introducing innovative and seasonal elements to the bar program.
11. Ensure the highest quality of ingredients and presentation in all beverages served.
12. Conduct regular tastings and evaluations to maintain consistency and excellence in the bar offerings.
13. Oversee bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels.
14. Implement cost-control measures to optimize beverage-related expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Proven experience in a leadership role within a luxury bar or lounge setting.
2. Strong organizational and leadership skills with a focus on team development.
3. Exceptional knowledge of mixology, beverage trends, and upscale bar service.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field preferred).
6. Minimum of [2-3] years of progressive experience in bartending and bar management.
7. Relevant certifications in mixology or bartending preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, twist at the neck and trunk, bend at the waist and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, reach overhead, above shoulders and horizontally. Employees will use hands to handle objects and tools, and operate service equipment. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40-pound objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees may use vision to monitor food quality and quantity and may also order supplies, etc. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry heavy trays and equipment, as well as, delicate china and barware
• Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Job requires indoor and outdoor service in fluctuating weather
