What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Technician position at Mayco International?
Currently we are recruiting an Automation Technician on 2nd shift. This position will be responsible for installation and maintenance of automated industrial machinery. The automation technician keeps things running smoothly as they check on and maintain machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes and robotics.
- Install retrofits to existing systems and troubleshoot hardware and instrument problems.
- Maintain automation processes and writing reports.
- Experience programming Fanuc robots or similar.
- Assist with integrating robots to existing machines.
- Assist with integrating standard vision systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned regarding production improvements.
- Support start-up activities.
- Respond to calls for assistance.
- Comply with safety regulations and protocols.
- Assist with completion of preventive maintenance.
- General fabrication skills, Capable of constructing Robot EOATs, Machine guards, Sensor brackets, etc.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 2-year degree or technical certificate program or manufacturing experience.
- Networks & database operation.
- Robot set up and programming.
- Visions systems set up and programming.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
