A Day in the Life
Are you a data geek? If so, this job is just for you! As a First Article Inspection Specialist I, you will be trained to create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports after interpreting customer drawings, specifications, and other customer requirements. You will communicate with various other departments vital to the manufacturing of customer-designed precision products. You will work with minimal day-to-day supervision upon completion of training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Navigates internal company software and database systems to gather information.
- Accurately completes AS9102 First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) and other dimensional inspection reports.
- Interprets drawings, specifications, customer requirements.
- Works effectively with and communicates with various departments including Planning, Quality Planning, QC Inspection and Delegated Source Inspection.
- To meet the needs of our customers and colleagues, you are expected to be at your workstation and ready to work at your designated start time.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Previous FAI Specialist Experience
- Print reading
- GD&T terminology and symbols
- Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point
Schedule:
First Shift Hours
7:00AM- 4:00PM
