Wastewater Treatment Operator I
Starting Pay Rate: $19.00

Along with operating and maintaining our Wastewater Treatment System, this position also provides the opportunity to learn plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and machine maintenance. Position Overview:
The Wastewater Treatment Technician I operate and maintain a Wastewater Treatment System (WWTS) and related equipment and chemicals to comply with local, state, and federal permit requirements per HITOP-011-09. Performs WWTS maintenance and clerical duties per HITOP-011-09, maintains chemical inventory, and maintains, and runs boilers, chillers, and RO water units.
Shift: 2nd 3:00pm-11:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely makes chemical additions to a variety of plating and anodizing baths.
- Makes basic adjustments to pH, ORP, and TDS probes.
- Makes basic repairs of pneumatic pumps, mixers.
Competencies:
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-U.S. persons selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to export-restricted information as defined under the ITAR/EAR.
