Now Hiring: Quality Control Technician – Third Shift
Location: Mayer Bros Apple Products – West Seneca, NY
Mayer Bros Apple Products is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our team on third shift. In this key role, you’ll help ensure our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You'll test and inspect products at various stages of production, evaluate results, and contribute to maintaining quality and reliability across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and tests at multiple stages of production (including dimensions, performance, and chemical characteristics)
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and formulas to ensure product compliance
- Maintain documentation and apply statistical quality control procedures to collected data
- Set up and perform both destructive and non-destructive testing
- Ensure adherence to HACCP and SQF 2000 food safety standards
- Analyze and chart data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to quality or production standards
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve issues related to product quality
- Enter and manage data using computer systems and quality software tools
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience in quality assurance or a manufacturing environment preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and FDA compliance
- Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform basic math, including percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Comfortable using computers and basic data entry systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
