The Procurement Contract Administrator is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of procurement contracts, including drafting, negotiating, and monitoring contracts in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This role also encompasses contract management, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with legal and Firm’s requirements.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Performs initial review and analysis of procurement contracts, NDA’s, orders, and statements of work to ensure compliance with the Firm’s standards and legal requirements
- Compares and redline contractual documents in accordance with established standards; provides clear and concise explanations to internal clients and suppliers regarding the rationale for requested changes
- Participates in contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions for the Firm
- Manages contract renewals and termination process when appropriate
- Assists in the resolution of contractual disputes by collaborating with relevant stakeholders and providing informed recommendations to achieve amicable solutions
- Conduct industry research on matters related to vendor contracts
- Supports the procurement team by undertaking projects that require critical thinking and strong organizational skills to add value and enhance efficiencies
- Provides administrative assistance as needed, including maintaining contract management database and assigning new matters for handling to ensure seamless contract administration
- Performs any and all duties as necessary and as assigned by the supervisor for efficient functioning of the Department, Office and Firm to meet Firm and department goals
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program is a plus
Professional Experience:
- At least three years prior procurement department experience required
- Knowledge of contracts and agreements preferred
Specific Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
- Experience with relevant applications and databases would be a plus

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting priorities
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
- Strong customer service , problem solving and negotiation skills and able to anticipate needs
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
- Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion
- Exercises solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
- May require travel to other offices as needed
The typical pay scale for this position is between $86,100 and $113,800, although the actual wage or salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s education, experience, skills and internal pay alignment are different from those specified.
