Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in music education. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing music lessons to inspire and educate students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct music lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels
- Teach music theory, history, and practical skills such as playing instruments
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback to enhance their musical abilities
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into the overall curriculum
- Organize performances or recitals to showcase students' talents
Requirements:
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid driver’s license required
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Must possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate strong work ethic, ability to work independently and the need for minimal supervision.
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Create positive public relations
Experience:
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring music
- Proficiency in playing musical instruments
- Knowledge of childhood development principles
- Familiarity with curriculum development for music education
- Experience working in a classroom setting with children
- Background in ballet or dance is a plus
- Ability to educate both children and adults
