Position Overview :

Are you ready to take charge of your career in the multifamily industry? Look no further than our Service Technician position at Mayfield Residential. As a Service Technician, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property. Your technical and mechanical expertise will ensure that our properties meet the Company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. Reporting to the Property Manager, this role offers exciting opportunities for growth and impact while contributing to the satisfaction and well-being of our residents.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Completes assigned work orders from resident service requests and performs preventative maintenance by diagnosing and repairing defects according to policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant apartment homes for new leasing and move-ins by conducting pre-move-out inspections, creating maintenance work lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing maintenance tasks, and inspecting completed work.
• Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, and tools from the maintenance department by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork accurately and on time to ensure service requests are documented and tracked.
• Maintains the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure-washing areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing parts rather than replacing them, avoiding waste of materials and supplies, and using tools and equipment correctly.

Other Responsibilities :

Attending and participating in routine safety meetings.

Identify safety and risk management concerns.
