Under general supervision, provides clerical and administrative support for the Dean of Health Sciences Programs and part-time and full-time faculty; assists in the preparation of the Health Sciences Programs budgets; assists with contracts, travel, requisitions, and timesheets.

Experience:Â Three years of clerical, file management, and professional office experience.Community College experience is preferred.

- May require occasional weekend or evening, i.e., Spring / Fall commencement, special enrollments, etc.
- Prepares instructional materials such as course, lab and clinical documents; tests, handouts; and clinical schedules
- Assists the Dean of Health Sciences Programs in drafting memorandums and correspondence to facilitate effective communication within the Instructional Services Division and the Mayland Community College campuses
- Reviews, screens, and distributes mail for the Dean of Health Sciences Programs and faculty
- Â Assists the Dean of Health Sciences Programs in scheduling appointments, meetings, and interviews
- Arranges travel for the Dean of Health Sciences Programs, and assists with travel arrangements for faculty
- Greets students and visitors to the Health Sciences Programs area, answers information requests, and provides directions. Refers students to the appropriate staff or faculty memberÂ
- Analyzes faculty teaching loads and office hours for a minimum of 32 hours per faculty member per semester according to the Mayland Community College policy manual. Initiates corrections on the schedule to help avoid state audit problems
- Assists with the preparation of intent-to-hire forms for all part-time faculty
- Assists with student onboarding for clinical rotations
- Assists with collecting and verifying that time sheets match contracts. Secures signatures for time sheets
- Collects contract fulfillment verification forms and collection of 10% reports at 10% or upon completion of semester for independent studyÂ
- Prepares, submits, maintains and reviews requisitions from faculty for compliance with federal regulations. Charges expense requisitions to proper line-items
- Prepares analytical reports of budget expenditures, course enrollment, distance education activities, etc., as needed
- Verifies with the Controller, the status of accounts in Administrative Services regarding payroll, travel, and supplies concerning the activities of nursing faculty
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge through reading professional publications and attending workshops and conferences as appropriate
