Under general supervision, is responsible for performing routine clerical duties and customer service activities, organizing, and scheduling to assist the Coordinator of Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) and Dean of Mitchell County Workforce & Prison Programs.THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED. FOR BEST CONSIDERATION, APPLICATION MATERIALS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED BY 12/22/2024.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist full-time and part-time instructors and the Coordinator of BLET and Dean of Mitchell County Workforce & Prison Programs Answer incoming calls and help interested students in obtaining class information Create instructor intent to hire and new class form and contracts Manage and schedule new student interviews for BLET Director, an prepare BLET packets for new students Copy lesson plans for instructors and emails copies of the handout, lesson plan, test w/key, and BLET calendar to instructors as well as update and create BLET Instructor Files Maintain files and secures needed signatures for official documents from appropriate parties as required Assist with ensuring that all program files are accurate and include all necessary documentation as required for compliance and accreditationPrepare and maintains current and past BLET cadet files and other student class and program records Build classes, register students, and grade classes in Colleague as required. Collects registration fees and deposits monies in a timely and accurate manner Send information to and provide any necessary documentation certification agencies such as NC Training and Standards Commissions, NCCER, NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors, and NC Licensing Board for General Contractors Manage classroom schedules Maintains the Workforce and BLET school calendar

Clerical experience in the community college system is preferred.
