Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time instructor to teach adult students HVAC content within construction trades at our Avery Learning Center in Newland, NC. The class is approximately six hours per week and will be offered annually for 16 weeks or four months per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct and demonstrate safety practices, procedures, and standards to adult students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Develop and implement an instructional plan and set up an HVAC instructional lab area.
- Create and plan effective curriculum-based projects and activities.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma and five years of work-related experience in HVAC.
- The ability to read blueprints and detailed drawings.
- The ability to read and utilize various measuring and construction tools.
Compensation and Location:
Estimated salary: $25.00 per hour (part-time)
