About the Job:
We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time instructor to join our team at Mayland Community College. As an HVAC educator, you will play a key role in teaching adult students the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning trade.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and demonstrations on safety practices, procedures, and standards to adult students.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and evaluations.
- Develop and implement an instructional plan, including setting up an HVAC instructional lab area.
- Create and plan curriculum-based projects and activities that promote student learning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A high school diploma and five years of work-related experience in HVAC.
- The ability to read blueprints and detailed drawings.
- The ability to read and utilize various measuring and construction tools.
