Job Summary :
Mayland Community College seeks a knowledgeable and experienced NC Real Estate Prelicensing Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of North Carolina real estate laws, practices, and licensing requirements. This position involves instructing students in preparation for the North Carolina real estate licensing exam through comprehensive and engaging coursework.
Working Conditions :
- The position may require teaching in various formats, including in-person, online, and hybrid classes.
Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend classes as needed.
Some travel may be required for training or professional development.

Primary Duties
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and update course materials, including lesson plans, handouts, and exams, to ensure they meet the latest state requirements and best practices.
Provide individual support and feedback to students to aid their understanding and progress.
Stay current with changes in North Carolina real estate laws and industry trends.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
Foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
Collaborate with the Education Director and other instructors to continuously improve the curriculum.
Utilize a Learning Management System (Moodle) to provide distance learning.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications :
Up to date on Continuing Education requirements
Must have completed 60 semesters hours of college-level education at an accredited institution by the US Department of Education.
Proven experience in teaching or training, preferably in real estate.
In-depth knowledge of North Carolina real estate laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using technology and educational tools for instructional purposes.
Within the last three years, have either :
Minimum of 2 years of full-time active experience in the real estate industry, with at least one year in NC.
3 years of instruction experience at a secondary or post-secondary level.
Real estate Prelicensing or Postlicensing instructor approval in another jurisdiction
Or qualifications found to be equivalent by the Commission.

Experience with online teaching platforms and virtual classrooms.
