Maynard Nexsen’s Managed Care Litigation Practice Group is seeking a highly motivated mid-level associate to join its national practice in our Los Angeles location.
Maynard Nexsen is a full-service law firm with more than 550 attorneys in 24 offices from coast to coast across the United States. The firm was formed in 2023 when two long-standing successful, client-centered firms combined to form a powerful national team.
Candidate must have four to seven years of general litigation and / or arbitration experience, including brief writing, legal research and analysis, and oral argument. A background in managed care is preferred, including experience with provider contract and billing disputes, medical necessity, level of care, and coordination of benefits, as well as out of network payor provider litigation.
Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to the field, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a desire to assume immediate responsibility for matters and experience in a law firm. Candidate should be motivated, personable, articulate and able to collaborate. The practice group offers excellent prospects for proactive lawyers.
Strong academic credentials and writing skills are required. Preferred law school experience includes law clerk internships, moot court or law review / journal.

Maynard Nexsen’s compensation in California is aligned with a market-rate salary scale. The annualized salary range for this position is $210,000-250,000 depending on the candidate’s experience and other job-related factors. The annual salary is one component of Maynard Nexsen’s total compensation and benefits, which includes a discretionary bonus ranging between $0-$41,000.
