Certification and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Image Production
The technologist produces high-quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments.
Operational Requirements
- Proficiency in various imaging equipment and technology.
- Adherence to proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel, and patients.
- Maintaining flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths.
Interpersonal Skills and Communication
Fostering teamwork through effective communication and ensuring high-level service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines.
Schedule and Availability
The technologist must be able to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends.
State Licensure and Certification
