• Retirement : Competitive retirement package to secure your future.ResponsibilitiesThis position is in one of two Central Inpatient Pharmacies at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN.Responsibilities include medication management services in coordination with other health care professionals to deliver safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy to patients. Responsibilities may include assessment of medication therapy regimens, medication therapy management, medication order verification / entry, medication distribution, medication therapy monitoring, and consultation, documentation of medication therapy plans, and medication use education and pharmaceutical care services. Participates in collaborative practice and / or protocol-driven practice as appropriate. Additionally, pharmacists are active members in quality improvement, research activities, and education.The night pharmacist team covers all areas of the hospital including intensive care units, pediatrics, emergency / surgical, transplant, labor and delivery, and many others.QualificationsQualifications
• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications
• Completion of pharmacy residency and specialization (e.g., PGY-2 and respective BPS certification), if applicable.
• Evidence of ongoing scholarly pursuits including research / quality improvement, publications, or scientific presentations.
• Relevant applicable pharmacy experience working in a progressive and collaborative practice environment.
• Experience and / or interest in teaching and / or precepting.
• Commitment to excellence, accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork required. Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with others, organizes time well, practice with an agile mindset, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision required.License or Certification
• Current pharmacist license by the MN Board of Pharmacy, or eligible to obtain within a time frame compliant with the site's applicable employee licensure policy.
