We have an exciting postdoctoral Research Fellow opportunity at the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) under the mentorship of Dr. Fred W. Fan.The position will focus on developing innovative AI/Informatics solutions to facilitate translational science and learning health systems. Primary tasks will include integrating EHR and other biomedical data sources to generate insights for clinical and translational researchers, developing user-friendly, high-throughput tools to enhance research workflows, and translating state-of-the-art AI technology into accountable applications that can be ported across a broad research network.

A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.

Qualifications For This Position
- Ph.D. degree in biomedical informatics, computer science, data science, or a closely related field.
- Solid programming skills (preferably Python) especially in the development of scalable applications.
- Experience in two or more of the following areas: data analysis/visualization, natural language processing, information retrieval, machine learning, and generative AI.
- Experience using Google Cloud Platform is appreciated.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Able to work both independently and productively as a team player.
