Benefits Highlights
Responsible for provision and administration of specific therapy treatments under the supervision of the staff therapist. The Rehab Aide, as directed and supervised by the staff therapist, assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
The Rehab Aide participates in all operational aspects and performance improvement activities within the department. Performs clerical duties as directed. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety programs.
Qualifications
High school graduate or GED certificate. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Basic awareness of physical medicine, rehabilitation modalities, anatomy and physiology. Decision-making, problem solving and team building skills.Previous patient care experience preferred BLS certification within 6 months of start date.
