Responsibilities
This is a temporary position that has been approved for 6 months.
Employees working in the Restorative Aid role will focus on tasks including ambulating patients and addressing active and passive range of motion needs as directed by PT/OT.
Performs various clerical, electronic and customer service duties to facilitate flow of patients in the department. Answers phones, assists with patient transfers, transports patients via wheelchair or cart, and performs other support duties.
Description Of Units You May Be Hired To
Do3D - 39 bed general care medical unit caring for adult patients with acute illness and specializes in cardiac monitoring for patients with underlying cardiac dysfunction.
EI 10-2 - 24 bed general care abdominal transplant unit, caring for donors and patients pre and post-kidney, liver and pancreas transplants.
Please attach any transcripts of health care courses or acceptance letters into Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or other Healthcare related programs you may have.
Qualifications
Requires a H.S. diploma or G.E.D.
Additional Qualifications
Strong preference for candidates currently enrolled or seeking enrollment in a Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Program or seeking enrollment or pursuing a degree in a healthcare related field.
Requires positive communication and interpersonal skills.
Must demonstrate self-motivation and flexibility to change duties as needed.
Must be highly organized, efficient, multifunctional with the ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
Computer experience helpful.
Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, which may include weekend days and evenings, evenings during the week and holidays at various locations.
License Or Certification
CPR certified or obtained within 90 days of employment.
