Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options.
- Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment in compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, billing, and record management.
- Support various dental specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, and other treatments as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical records management, and infection control practices.
- Proficiency in using dental imaging equipment and techniques for X-ray procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records and treatment documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Certification in Dental Assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to pursue certification is encouraged.
