The Video & Content Production Specialist develops and produces video and written content in support of Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union (MEFCU) communication strategy. Typical job duties of this position may include, but are not limited to: producing creative video content to promote financial education and meet organizational strategy goals; writing and editing original content for MEFCU’s website, email marketing, newsletters, intranet, press releases, social media, and other channels; ensuring all content meets quality standards; and maintaining consistent messaging and voice across channels. This position also serves as a backup to the Graphic Designer in making website and other updates in digital media, such as creating new content or editing existing content.
Duties & Responsibilities
Produces creative video content to promote financial education and meet organizational strategic goals.
- Scripts, produces, films, edits, and distributes video content for credit union members, prospective members, employees, and external partners.
- Implements technology and video solutions to support livestreamed events, complex meeting needs, recordings, and placement of media for internal and external use.
- Completes pre-production and post-production of all videos.
- Manages video projects while working collaboratively with credit union staff and stakeholders.
- Incorporates titling and motion graphics into content that meets brand standards.
- Contributes to content strategy and planning by bringing forward original ideas for new or enhanced content.
Writes and edits original content for MEFCU’s website, email marketing, newsletters, intranet, press releases, social media, and other channels.
- Writes quality pieces on appropriate subject matter.
- Ensures appropriate grammar usage.
- Builds working relationships with other credit union departments to implement expert subject matter into content.
- Provides various types of content based on audience needs.
Ensures all content meets quality standards and maintains consistent messaging and voice across all channels.
- Builds quality content to engage members and prospective members.
- Produces content that is accurate, authoritative, clear, thorough, and aligned with business and market needs.
- Eliminates redundancy and maximizes efficiency by leveraging existing content assets and repurposing them appropriately.

Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field AND two years of experience recording and producing video assets.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Position requires a valid driver's license for occasional travel and the flexibility to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
All employees must be bondable by MEFCU’s insurance policy. Continued employment is subject to maintaining favorable bondable status per insurance standards.

Knowledge of: Overall credit union philosophy and operations; credit union products and promotions; communications including written and digital; different types of content and its usage.
Skill in: Capturing high quality video content and utilization of the technologies involved to do so; video production software such as Adobe Premier, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop or equivalents; OBS (Open Broadcaster Software); YouTube, Microsoft applications such as Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; writing and editing content; lighting techniques for videography; organizing work tasks and priorities; effective communication techniques; and time management to meet deadlines.
Ability to: Problem solve, think creatively and critically, stay current on marketing trends,
listen actively, and be flexible to support work volumes; initiate, lead, and follow through with projects; handle multiple tasks simultaneously; work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical and Environmental Criteria
This physical effort required to perform this position is best described as: Sedentary - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. The majority of this position involves computer work, which requires fine dexterity in the continuous movement of the wrist and fingers.
Sensory requirements necessary in the performance of the essential functions of this position include: sight, hearing, touch.
