Responsibilities
1. Fundraising and Grant Writing: 20% of time
- Support the organization in reaching its annual fundraising goal of $1M
- Grants management
- Partner with the ED to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors
- Support special events. (fundraising and programmatic)
2. Communications & Messaging: 35% of time
- Implement Mayors Fund Communication Plan
- Craft and disseminate cohesive and consistent messaging
- Produce engaging newsletters, reports, and various digital collaterals
- Support ongoing correspondence with key partners and supporters
- Collaborate with ED on occasional media relations
- Collaborate with community partners to expand communications efforts.
3. Brand Management: 10% of time
- Oversee organizational branding across all programs and platforms
- Ensure communications efforts are on-brand, inclusive, and resonate with our audiences
- Document and maintain electronic files and file system relative to project completion
4. Collateral Development and Outreach: 30% of time
- Create and update marketing materials
- Partner with team members to identify content and campaigns
- Design and manage campaigns
- Create digital and print collateral to promote our work
- Utilize various channels, including social media, website, email, and traditional media, to reach target audiences
- Analyze marketing and campaign performance to refine strategies and improve engagement and outcomes
5. Administrative and other duties as assigned: 5% of time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Non-Profit Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in development and communications, preferably within a non-profit organization.
- Passion for supporting children, youth, and families, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media platforms, website platforms (such as Square Space, etc.), and graphic design software (e.g., Canva).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with grant writing and fundraising initiatives preferred.
- Skill and ability to communicate (oral and written) in Spanish or Khmer highly desired.
Salary : $28 - $32
