The Adams’ administration is leading the fight to serve the people of the greatest city in the world, ensuring delivery of efficient and effective services, working to make New York City’s economy stronger, reducing inequality, improving public safety, and making the city more affordable that meets the needs of all New Yorkers.The Team You’ll Work With : New York City nonprofits engage millions of residents each year in critical programs, from arts and culture to community building to housing. The City contracts and collaborates extensively with nonprofits for a range of public services. The City Council passed Int. 1784 to establish a Mayor’s Office of Not-for-Profit Services (MONS).The Problems You’ll Solve : As a part of the Mayor’s Office for Nonprofit Services (MONS), you will tackle key challenges nonprofits face when contracting with the city, such as inequitable access to contracts and addressing delays in payment processing. You will help streamline city procurement processes and ensure that nonprofits have the tools and support they need to thrive.About You : Working in close coordination with the Executive Director, the Deputy of Operations will manage the office’s collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders. Responsibilities include : Oversee and manage special projects to ensure appropriate goals and timelines are met.Ensure intra-office coordination and promote positive relationships between all teams.Support internal / external stakeholder communications by acting as a liaison with City Hall, City agencies, and civic organizations.Assist in coordinating the implementation of project management tasks associated with various initiatives.Work closely with the Executive Director to establish systems and processes for effective office operations.Guide projects through administrative hurdles and towards implementation.Support staff in project design and resolving operational challenges.Lead and manage additional projects as needed.Preferred Skills : Two or more years of experience in City government, preferably with nonprofit health and human services providers.Knowledge of City procurement, contracting, and budget processes.Ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.Experience leading the implementation of cross-agency initiatives.Understanding of the organizational challenges faced by nonprofits.To Apply : Please go to cityjobs.nyc.gov and search for Job ID# : 696488.Minimum QualificationsBaccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.Associate degree from an accredited college or university along with two (2) years of relevant experience.Four-year high school diploma or equivalent with four (4) years of relevant experience.A satisfactory combination of education and / or experience equivalent to the above.Public Service Loan ForgivenessAs a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs.
