Activities Assistant Job Duties:
The Activities Assistant will primarily be responsible for assisting with resident activities. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist residents with grooming needs prior to attending activities.
- Assess resident capabilities concerning activities and group programs.
- Assist in recruiting and maintaining volunteers to assist in activity programs. Assist the Resident and Family Councils, and bring their concerns to the attention of the Administrator and other appropriate staff.
- Assist with all charitable fundraising activities as needed.
- Responsible for seeing that the resident mail and newspapers are sorted and delivered to the residents each day.
- Perform daily activities, special events, and in-room visits.
- Assist with resident outings.
Activities Assistant Requirements:
- Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program preferred.
