Overview
Leads a team to implement LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement efforts and drive operational excellence across multiple manufacturing facilities. Influences the organization’s LEAN journey and facilitates training opportunities.
Responsibilities
Leads LEAN engineering team to implement and oversee LEAN methodologies across the enterprise, utilizing Value Stream Mapping, 6S, and Lean Daily Management in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Develops and oversees the execution of Kaizen Roadmaps for all facilities in coordination with plant leadership and monitors results and sustainability.
Collaborates with operations leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement and oversees the training of staff in LEAN techniques and methodologies.
Leads DDI and other leadership training and development modules for team development.
Leads cost reduction programs to achieve annual operational savings targets.
Oversees facility annual LEAN assessments and implementation of corrective actions.
Supports enterprise safety initiatives and strategic deployment plans.
Performs a full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management; department budget.
Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope.
Qualifications
Job Skill Requirements
Strong background in LEAN Manufacturing and Engineering.
Advanced skills related to LEAN Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, and similar.
Proven leadership experience including project management and change leadership.
Proficiency with analyzing data to drive action.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to travel as needed (30%).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
Experience Requirements
Ten years of experience in multisite manufacturing, with 5 years in LEAN implementation.
LEAN certification (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt) highly desired.
