Engineering Technician
Supports manufacturing production by performing a variety of technical tasks, including testing, troubleshooting, and modifying components and systems.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities
Assists engineers in the design, development, and testing of products, systems, and equipment.
Supports product manufacturing from initial concept, drawings, feasibility, production hand-off, quality control, and release.
Maintains written work instructions, set up documentation, and inspection reports.
Proposes work and rework plans to produce parts that meet customer expectations.
Assists process engineering team with preventative and corrective action plans.
Participates in design of parts, assemblies, tools, and packaging.
Records and analyzes time, motion, methods, and speed involved in operations throughout facility. Assesses operations data such as fatigue rate, time to complete, and more.
Communicates workflow, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization to operations leadership via charts, graphs, and diagrams.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and suggests enhancements to engineering practices or tools.
Manage program and launch processes as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Job Skills Requirements
Familiarity with engineering tools, equipment, and software.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Solid attention to detail and organizational skills.
Educational Requirements
Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
