Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead the operations of the assigned department, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery.
- Lead and manage hourly team members, providing direction, support, and training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, providing training as required.
- Uphold and enforce company policies and practices fairly and consistently.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with direct reports, management counterparts, and external contacts.
- Evaluate, manage, and motivate direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Drive results in a lean manufacturing environment to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
- Responsible for hiring within the department, ensuring the best-fit candidates are selected.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (with at least 25 direct reports); experience in metal fabrication and finishing preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
- Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), ERP systems, and ADP.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build employee engagement, and promote a high-performance culture.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Commitment to driving results in a lean manufacturing environment to achieve KPIs.
