Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND
Compensation: Hiring Range: $47,814.85 - $57,377.82

Position Information:
Mayville State University invites qualified applicants to join our team as the Women’s Volleyball Head Coach/HPER Instructor. This position is responsible for directing all aspects of the volleyball program, including assistant coach supervision, recruitment and development of student-athletes, budget development and management and engaging with members of the university community and citizens of Mayville-Portland. He or she will also be responsible for assuring compliance with policies and procedures set forth by Mayville State University, the NAIA and the Frontier Conference. This position is also responsible for teaching within the HPER Division. The head volleyball coach will report to the Athletic Director and the Division Chair for HPER.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate assistant coaching staff.
- Recruitment and development of student athletes.
- Budget development and management.
- Development of game and practice schedules.
- Knowledge of the NAIA rules and regulations.
- A strong public service orientation to work well with faculty, staff, students, and the community.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Responsible for the academic progress and the academic success of student-athletes.
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the volleyball program within the guidelines set forth by Mayville State University, the Frontier Conference, and the NAIA.
- Spearhead fundraising efforts to support programmatic needs and enhancements.
- Teach within the HPER Division
- Respond to all administrative correspondence in the requested timeframe and attend all staff meetings.
- Follow all Mayville State University policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and/or Division Chair.

- Fundraising Experience
- Eligible to drive on behalf of the State of North Dakota or the willingness to become eligible
- Demonstrated success in the recruitment and development of student-athletes
- Knowledge of the NAIA rules and regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent Computer skills
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in a HPER related field
- Sports or Exercise Science
- Athletic Coaching
- Sports Leadership
- Sports Management
- Or other related field
- 1 year of college coaching experience
