Job Details
The Administrative Assistant II shall assist the Human Resources Division (HRD) with the United States Marshals Service (USMS) management in providing program support per program requirements, including administrative and clerical services.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must undergo a Background Investigation (BI)
Responsibilities:
- Prepare meeting documents, including agendas, slide decks, handouts, and notes
- Coordinate VIP Visits and other specialty services that support US Marshals events
- Assist with analysis of data and metrics in preparation of reports and briefing materials
- Assist with special projects from start to completion
- Compose, draft, edit, and prepare correspondence such as letters, emails, memos, etc
- Maintain office suspense system, entering items received and assigning standard timeframe due dates
- Provide ad hoc administrative support to any of the branches in the USMS management as needed
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of administrative support experience in the abovementioned duties
- Excellent communication skills; oral and written
- Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions is critical
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other typical software applications, including databases; intermediate skills are preferred
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Federal Government Human Resource experience
