Job Details
Mayvin is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support our security program and ensure compliance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements. The AFSO will assist in managing personnel security clearances, security training, and classified information handling while ensuring adherence to National Industrial Security Program (NISP) guidelines. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and government agencies.
In person 5x/week
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an Active Top Secret clearance, with ability to obtain SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities:
- Assist FSO with overall security program
- Maintain combination records and respond to alarms as necessary
- Maintain facility DISS/NBIS accounts and participate in the utilization/upkeep of SIMS
- Provide security briefings and training to new employees and participate in corporate-wide security education programs
- Prepare and review DD254s
- Strong knowledge of security regulations and best practices, including 32 CFR 117 (NISPOM)
- Support building access control system, including issuance and management of badges, access logs, and ensuring physical security
- Assist in overseeing employee personnel security clearances (PCLs), including initiating investigations/reinvestigations, and review employee Standard Form (SF)86s for completeness
- Process visit requests (VARs) in DISS
- Assist with CAC applications and SCI nominations
- Provide guidance to management and personnel on security-related questions, ensuring alignment with government regulations and company policies
- At least one year of relevant experience required, two preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
