About the Role
MAYVIN INC is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Scientist to join our team as a Firearm Examiner. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in conducting examinations while maintaining chain of custody and formulating interpretation results for forensic and/or intelligence exploitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct microscopic comparisons of questioned bullets and cartridge cases
- Examine various types of manufacturers, class, and individual characteristics of tools and tool marks on a variety of objects
- Conduct shooting incident reconstruction
- Provide training for other laboratory examiners and personnel regarding firearm safety and proper handling techniques
- Provide guidance/expertise to latent print examiners regarding assisting them with potential locations on firearms where latent prints may be found
