Mayvin is seeking a Senior Security Manager / Facilities Security Officer to support all aspects of Security for our corporate headquarters to include clients in DoD, DOJ, DHS, and other government agencies. The Security Manager / FSO will administer SCI Programs, maintain program security in compliance with the NISPOM; applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs); and all other applicable Government security policies and procedures. This role encompasses a variety of duties and responsibilities which may include communication with government customers, program management, briefing internal Mayvin stakeholders, employees, subcontractors, and security counterparts. This is a senior level position with management responsibilities and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
This position is 5 days on-site, (Not Hybrid) working at our Corporate Headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage elements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) at all Mayvin facilities including Collateral security requirements; Personnel & Facility clearances; Training & Briefings; Classification & Markings; CUI and Applicable Markings; Administrative Inquiries; Safeguarding; Classified Visits & Meetings; Classified Subcontracting; COMSEC; DoD Closed Areas (DCSA Form 147), NIST 800-30 Risk Assessments
- Assess potential risks and threats that affect the business, budget, and Industrial Security program
- Guide and coordinate activities requiring scheduling and participation within the Security team at Mayvin HQ and alternate facilities. Partner and communicate with program and functional leadership on Industrial Security matters that directly affect each facility and program’s requirements
- Manage the personnel security clearance life cycle to include: processing initial requests for clearance/access; clearance reciprocity; terminations; access card/badge renewals; reporting requirements; program required relevant security briefings and debriefings; manage the cleared personnel listing; maintain accurate clearance database information; provide general security guidance; investigate and report infractions and complaints; maintain security education and awareness initiatives; ensure personnel adhere to security policies
- Maintain secure facilities in accordance with NISPOM and ICD 705 standards: conduct annual self-inspections; maintain proper documentation to include SCIF accreditation; develop SOPs; facilitate and support customer inspections to ensure successful government audits; management of access control and processing of visitors; and change safe and door combinations
- Manage a team to include an AFSO and Information Technology (cyber) professionals
- Special projects in support of operational requirements, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4-8 years of demonstrated experience directly related to the job requirements
- Expertise with SCI Security requirements, ICD, 32 CFR part 117 (NISPOM), and other applicable Government/customer security directives, policies, and procedures
- Proven experience interacting with DCSA and other Cognizant Security Agencies
- Experience using government security databases--DISS, NCAISS/NISS, SPOT, SWFT, NBIS, ACCS
- A firm understanding of DOD 5200.01 Security Policy processes, roles, and responsibilities
- Proficient with the guidelines of DOD 8530.01; NIST 800-171 Rev 3 (Pending); cyber security activities supporting DoD and DHS information network operations
