What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soldier Survival Subject Matter Expert (SME) position at Mayvin, Inc.?
Mayvin is seeking a Soldier Survival SME to provide expert guidance and technical support to USSOCOM in the development, integration, and sustainment of survival-related equipment, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). The SME will support capability development efforts to enhance survivability, mobility, and operational effectiveness for special operations forces (SOF) at Ft. Bragg, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Advise USSOCOM on soldier survival technologies, including personal protective equipment (PPE), load carriage, hydration systems, combat uniforms, and cold-weather gear.
- Conduct research, testing, and evaluation of emerging survival equipment and techniques for SOF personnel.
- Collaborate with government and industry partners to assess and field new equipment.
- Provide subject matter expertise in program management, procurement, and lifecycle sustainment of survival-related gear.
- Support the development of training materials and conduct briefings for SOF personnel on best practices for survival in austere environments.
- Analyze operational requirements and provide recommendations for capability enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with DoD and USSOCOM policies and standards for soldier survivability.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a Top Secret clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 16 years of experience in military operations, survival training, or special operations equipment development.
- Extensive knowledge of soldier systems, survival gear, and SOF mission requirements.
- Experience with government acquisition processes and program management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate survivability solutions.
- Excellent communication and briefing skills to interact with senior military leaders and stakeholders.
