Description:
Mayvin is looking for an Unmanned Systems (UMS) Subject Matter Expert to support USSOCOM at Ft. Liberty, NC. The successful candidate will work with the program team to execute initiatives, develop, and maintain project plans and assume day-to-day project and acquisition administration in support of US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This position is located at Ft. Liberty, NC.
Must be a US Citizen to be considered for this position.
Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
- Represent organizational priorities as an ISR liaison to adjacent commands and higher headquarters, including USASOC, MARSOC, AFSOC, HQDA, and SOCOM.
- Coordinate with entities such as USASOC, MARSOC, AFSOC, ARSOAC, Army PM offices, NAVAIR, and other supporting elements to align with organizational objectives.
- Provide technical systems support for the development and procurement of Airborne ISR systems.
- Develop detailed ISR plans and schedules for capabilities, equipment, personnel, maintenance, flight authorizations, and airspace deconfliction.
- Support training, capabilities integration, and equipment and personnel scheduling for tactical A-ISR missions.
- Coordinate types and numbers of aircraft for mission accomplishment, including testing and training requirements.
- Represent customer requirements in organizational meetings across user echelons.
- Identify tactical A-ISR capability gaps and recommend changes to address mission requirements.
- Plan and coordinate future A-ISR capabilities, including assessments and policies for future systems.
- Conduct market research to identify solutions for A-ISR requirement gaps.
- Compile quotes and develop purchase documentation for government approval.
- Provide advice, analysis, and technical expertise for future classified and unclassified A-ISR platforms.
- Conduct periodic assessments to support long-range planning for tactical A-ISR management.
- Contribute to the organization's budgetary planning for UAS development, procurement, and sustainment.
- Integrate SOF and ISR functions into decision-making processes, including F3EA cycle support.
- Develop documentation for US Army Airworthiness Release (AWR) messages for non-standard aircraft
- Generate letters, Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), and Statements of Requirements (SOR) for Airborne ISR needs.
- Plan and execute flight testing and demonstrations for UAS.
- Develop flight test plans, test cards, and schedules aligned with organizational goals.
- Evaluate ISR program effectiveness in mission accomplishment, standards compliance, and technical competence.
- Track and oversee combat development projects related to Airborne ISR.
- Understand DoD requirements generation processes, including Key Systems Attributes (KSA), Key Performance Parameters (KPP), and Threshold and Objective Requirements.
- Integrate testing plans into broader mission objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, during which both professional and technical capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISR policies, plans, programs, employment, and doctrine to integrate and advocate organizational ISR requirements at appropriate levels.
- Comprehensive experience as well as the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies for tactical A-ISR support to the organization.
- Specialized experience in administering or performing tactical A-ISR management in support of SOF Operations.
- Comprehensive ability to define problems, identify relationships, evaluate quality, assess impacts, and make conclusions and recommendations against priorities, standards, or objectives or, where none exist, to establish required priorities, standards, objectives, and doctrine.
- Knowledge of commercial Unmanned Aerial Systems and their capabilities.
- Background in basic flight techniques, procedures, and aircraft engineering.
- Must have working knowledge of USSOCOM 350-9, AR 95-1, AR 385-10, DA PAM 385-40, AR 95-20 and applicable FARs. * Knowledge of Unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), Artificial intelligence, machine learning and ATAK too.
- DAWIA II in Program Management (required)/Level III (highly desired)
- Lean Six Sigma Certified, e.g., Green Belt/Yellow Belt/Black Belt (desired but not required)
