Machine Operator

Work Schedule Available  -  10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Perform advanced set up, operation, and monitoring of production in a work center and participate in the continuous improvement process to address safety, production, and quality improvements. Additional tasks consist of assisting with material flow (loading, unloading, lifting, and moving material), and provide guidance to all support personal as required (laborers, material handlers, packers, etc.).

• Set up and maintain manufacturing equipment
• Operate equipment to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move product
• Conduct in-process quality checks and resolve issues as required
• Assist with equipment maintenance activities
• Maintain and monitor machine to ensure it functions properly
• Develop in-depth understanding of how assigned equipment functions
• Operate forklift as required to support manufacturing
• Interpret production work orders and record / report production data including scrap
• Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner
• Count, record, and report inventory as required including but not limited to sheet, coil and accessory stock, shop supplies, skids, cores, etc.
• Spin down pre-slit coil stock and complete appropriate packaging per specs of each order
• Load and unload will-call customers, LTL vans and flatbed trucks with forklift (includes palleted coils & sheets, load customer equipment and maintain / log all shipments) as required
• Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as required
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations
