Mazak Corporation is looking for a Field Service Technician Trainee to join the Northeast Service department located at our Northeast Technology Center located in Windsor Locks, CT. The Field Service Technician Trainee will participate in the Mazak Corporation's Field Service training program. Trainees will complete the program and on the job training to be able install maintain and repair Mazak equipment. Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities, located primarily in the Newark, NJ area. Travel is required.
Scope and Responsibilities :
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
- Successfully complete Mazak Field Service training course and on the job training
- Successfully demonstrate ability to install and Maintain Mazak equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories
- Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
- Work with and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and job specifications as it applies to your craft
- Learn new machines features and accessories
- Use precision levels to adjust the base of Mazak machinery
- Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purposes, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc.
- Travel is required. Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.

The salary range for this position is $39,884 to $61, 340
