Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical information on the use of Mazak machine tools, assisting sales staff, and providing customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical information on Mazak machine tools and assist sales staff in communicating with customers.
* Offer recommendations for part processing and machine setup to optimize production efficiency and quality.
* Calculate costs associated with producing customer parts, including labor and tooling/workholding expenses.
* Develop and deliver training programs for customers on safe machine operation and detailed machine functions.
* Participate in trade shows and open house events to demonstrate machine operation and features.
Requirements:
* Associate's degree or certification in a related technical field plus two years of experience in a machine tool-related field.
* Three to five years' experience in a related position preferred.
* Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong mechanical skills, including building fixtures, assembling tools, and rigging and leveling machines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically strong in Excel.
* Experience with Mazatrol, EIA/G-Code Programming, CAD/CAM Programming software, Esprit or Mastercam, Fusion 360, or other.
