What You Do
What You Do
Will provide leadership to the production lines through clearly established two-way communication regarding goals and actions by use of Floor Management Systems, ensuring alignment of production line activities to support business plan priorities, leading production improvement strategies, technology advances and providing leadership to team leaders, fostering their development and the development of the production team members.
As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:
- Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion
- Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota
- Support Assistant Managers with strategies and action plans to improve KPI’s by use of Floor Management Systems
- Lead Strategic Planning for sustainable daily operations
- Ensure alignment of production activities to support the business plan
- Dedicate the appropriate number of team members to each process to ensure efficient operations
- Provide leadership to production team leaders and team members in overall strategies based on company policy management and priorities
- Lead new model preparation
- Lead one-shift production operations producing parts for multiple models
- Coordinate activities between engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing
- Troubleshoot production issues and eliminate chronic line down processes
- Foster two-way communication at all levels to ensure real issues are known
- Provide leadership to production team in alignment with MTM’s core values
- Utilize Floor Management Systems to audit and ensure safety, quality, cost, and productivity objectives are met
- Maintain accurate inventory levels utilizing SAP and other internal tracking systems
- Implement necessary containment procedures in response to calls from downstream customers
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the department
- Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- 12 months’ experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive body weld/stamping
- Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
What Will Set You Apart
- 2 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive body weld/stamping
- Skilled at troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, automation and robotic systems
- Production line technical/systems experience
- Knowledge of high-volume equipment, PIVs, scrap collection, PLC’s, and transfer robot systems
