What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hookah Master position at Maze Lounge?
Maze Lounge brings an unparalleled combination of premier nightlife-driven hospitality, elevated cocktail programming, entertainment, and cuisine. Maze Lounge is looking for a seasoned Hookah Master, who will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and serving high-quality hookahs while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires knowledge of various hookah flavors and tobacco brands, proper hookah preparation techniques, and maintenance of hookah equipment.
Required experience and skills:
- 2 years of experience as a Hookah Master working in upscale and high-volume nightclubs or lounges
- Additional experience working in upscale restaurants, bars, hotels and/or events
- Record of success generating sales through upselling and other techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English, and preferably, working knowledge of a second language
- Access to a wide and highly qualified local and international clientele database would be a plus
Other job requirements:
- Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of eight hours
- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb and carry up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and high–volume environment, in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing and bright lights
