The Assistant Dispensary Manager will help plan and manage all aspects of day-to-day operations, including managing personnel, establish strong customer relations, inventory control and handle the daily ebb and flow of all store related matters while adhering to strict state guidelines and regulations. You will communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to implement and maintain, protocols, policies, and procedures in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor sales performance, reinforce targets, and execute strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining excellent guest service.
- Follow Arizona cannabis laws, including ID verification, purchase limits, and AZDHS tracking to ensure compliant sales
- Assist in oversight of dispensary inventory management including tracking and reconciliation using seed-to-sale software to prevent discrepancies and maintain stock levels.
- Train and develop budtenders and support staff, ensuring they provide knowledgeable and friendly guest service.
- Ensure a welcoming, professional, and efficient shopping experience, addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Manage daily cash transactions, secure deposits, and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with dispensary policies.
- Assist in developing and refining SOPs to improve workflows and enhance the overall efficiency of dispensary operations.
- Implement promotional strategies, ensuring budtenders and support staff execute accurately.
- Stay updated on cannabis products, strains, and industry trends to educate both staff and guests.
- Enforce safety protocols, monitor surveillance systems, and work with security personnel to prevent theft or breaches.
- Communicate with other departments to maintain a well-stocked, diverse product selection that aligns with guest demand.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by following Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) cannabis regulations.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming atmosphere that aligns with our core values.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Dispensary Manager
Required qualifications
- AZDHS FA (facility agent) card required
- 1 years of retail management experience
- 2 years of cannabis retail experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas and functions
- Management experience with a passion for teaching and leading by example
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Sit, stand, reach, bend, and squat frequently
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Pass a criminal background check
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency in cannabis POS software
- Experience managing an inventory team
- Arizona cannabis industry experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,657.00 - $54,711.00 per year
